MD Nestlé receives Excellence Award in Marketing

Roland Decorvet, Managing Director Nestle Pakistan Ltd. was presented the Excellence Award in Marketing for the year 2005 at the 21st Century Business and Economic Club’s Excellence Awards Ceremony here.

In his message, Decorvet shared that, “I am grateful to 21st Century Business and Economic Club for recognising breakthrough progress made by Nestle Pakistan through sound marketing techniques. This award is also a challenge for all of us at Nestle to elevate our efforts towards implementing comprehensive strategic planning to meet the demands of the dynamic and fast-developing economic environment of Pakistan.”

Syed Fakhar Ahmed, Head of Corporate Affairs at Nestle, who accepted the award on behalf of Decorvet, also expressed his sincere gratitude. Fakhar appreciated the Club’s efforts and praised the management for providing a unique platform for interaction at the corporate level.

The 21st Century Business and Economic Club has, in the past awarded Excellence Awards to Shaukat Aziz, Zakir Mehmood, Tariq Kirmani and Aftab Tapal in acknowledgement of their respective achievements.

Headquartered in Lahore, Nestlé is Pakistan's largest consumer goods company with sales of around CHF 500 million in 2006. The company has five production facilities in different parts of Pakistan: two multi-product factories in Sheikhupura and Kabirwala, respectively, and three bottled water plants, one in Islamabad and two more in Karachi. Over the years, Nestlé has created over 10,000 direct and indirect jobs in Pakistan. The company estimates that a million people earn their living with Nestlé in Pakistan, from employees, farmers and distributors to suppliers, transport companies and retailers.
