Nestlé Cares

Respect for the rights

Nestlé Cares, our Global Employee Volunteer Program, is aimed at enhancing volunteer activities and providing employees the opportunity to make an impact by engaging and assisting local communities.

Nestlé Pakistan launched ‘Nestlé Cares’ with a beach cleaning drive in connection to the World Oceans Day at Sea View Beach, Karachi in June 2019.

Countrywide tree plantation campaign with Clean Green Pakistan

Respect for the rights

Nestlé Pakistan commits to planting 50,000 trees across its operational areas in Pakistan as part of the Prime Minister’s Clean Green Pakistan initiative.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Nestlé Pakistan and Ministry of Climate Change whereby, Nestlé Pakistan will be focusing on key pillars of Sanitation and Hygiene, kicking-off tree plantation drive and providing access to clean drinking water for communities.

Nestlé Pakistan’s commitment is also part of the ten billion tress tsunami campaign launched by the Prime Minister in 2018. To mark this commitment, a tree plantation and clean up activity was held in Jallo Park, Lahore, led by Malik Amin Aslam, Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change in March, 2019.

Advancing the initiative, Nestlé Pakistan in partnership with Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad (MCI), also conducted a tree plantation activity in Rose and Jasmine Garden, Islamabad led by Mayor Sheikh Anser Aziz in March, 2019.

Geared at fostering a culture of sustained cleanliness and environmental well-being, the drive sheds light on Nestlé’s philosophy that revolves around striving towards zero environmental impact of their operations in a systematic and consistent manner.

Beach Cleaning Activity

Over 100 volunteers, including employees of Nestlé Pakistan, representatives from National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH), and Consumer Association of Pakistan (CAP) participated in the clean-up activity inculcating a sense of ownership and civic responsibility as they played their role in reducing plastic waste and marine pollution by collecting and sorting plastic disposal at the Sea View shoreline. Through this activity, Nestlé Pakistan is also contributing towards government’s vision of a ‘Clean & Green Pakistan’ to tackle the issue of pollution, hygiene, sanitation and access to clean drinking water.

Blood Donation Campaign

Nestlé Pakistan organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with Pakistan Red Crescent (PRC) in Head Office, Lahore and Sheikhupura Factory. The blood donation drive was conducted as a platform for its employees give back to the society.
