Continuing the journey towards a Green Pakistan

Nestlé Pakistan’s Employee Volunteer Program “Mashal-e-Rah” provides employees the opportunity to engage and assist underprivileged communities through their direct and indirect participation. The activities primarily support and address the needs of local communities based on Nestlé Creating Shared Value pillars.

Nestlé Pakistan held a comprehensive Monsoon Tree Plantation activity across its operational sites.

During the activity, more than 40,000 trees were planted by Nestlé employees in all the 4 factories and also the 5 zones of Agriculture Services. External partners also participated in the plantation including Sindh Environment Protection Agency, Port Qasim Authority and Rescue 1122.

Employee participation, while encouraged, is voluntary and remains an employee’s decision. Each volunteer can spend one working day annually on volunteer activities.

In commitment with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 15 (Life on land), Employee Volunteer Program aims to continue their journey towards a Green Pakistan by organizing more tree plantation activities in future across our all sites as trees help lower energy costs and reduce pollution.
