- Tomatoes don’t develop adequate flavor unless allowed to ripen on the plant. So try to avoid buying green tomatoes
- Fragrance is a better indicator of a good tomato than color . Smell the stem end to check its freshness
- No bruising or dent in the tomatoes. Choose the one with just the right amount of spring as you touch it.
