History of Kit Kat

A crispy light wafer coated with delicious Nestlé chocolate, Kit Kat is Nestlé's No. 1 global chocolate brand. The universally celebrated product is renowned for its great taste and superior quality.

Created in 1935, Kit Kat was first known as Rowntree Chocolate Crisp. Two years later, the name was then changed to Kit Kat. In 1988, Kit Kat became part of Nestlé's range of confectionery products and has since then transformed into becoming one of the world's most celebrated iconic chocolates, with 150 bars of NESTLÉ Kit Kat being consumed every second across the world. Its trademark red and white colours and the distinct Kit Kat logo make it one of the most recognized brands ever.

Kit Kat's tagline 'Have a break, have a Kit Kat' is a widely-used phrase in many countries. It perfectly describes the pleasure in eating the delicious chocolate-coated wafers whenever life seems overwhelming. It gives you a much needed break from the daily bustle and is the ideal boost to your day!
