Asad

Asad Ahmed is the Head of Supply Chain at Nestlé Pakistan. A Mechanical Engineer by education, he joined Nestlé as a Management Trainee in 2007. Asad brings with him tremendous experience in Supply Chain, particularly Demand Supply Planning and Procurement & Logistics across multiple geographies. In his earlier roles at Nestlé, he set up Demand Planning & Distribution Requirements Planning at Nestle Pakistan to optimize the cost to serve customers better. He then joined the Zone AOA (Asia, Oceania & Africa) Supply Chain team based in Thailand in 2010, where he worked on streamlining the dairy sourcing strategy for the zone, facilitated China and Egypt to improve forecast accuracy and reduce working capital and developed the Raw & Packaging Inventory Optimization tool used by all countries in Zone Asia, Oceania, and Africa.

Asad has also served as the Regional Planning Manager looking after 25 countries in Central & West Africa, where he restructured the team to get the right mix between proximity to stakeholders in different countries while strengthening centralized planning. He also led the establishment of unconstrained demand capacity and enabled daily visibility of supply risks, gaps, and opportunities across the 25 countries.

In his free time, he loves singing and playing the guitar. Asad is a tech gadget enthusiast and enjoys diverse culinary experiences from different parts of the globe.
