Nestlé Pakistan Ltd. and Swiss Agency for Development and Corporation (SDC) signed an accord for Farmer Development Programs in Pakistan at a simple ceremony at Lahore. The Contract was signed by Mr. Raymond Franke, Head of Finance and Control, Nestlé Pakistan Ltd and Mr. Pius Rohner, Country Director, SDC Pakistan. The ceremony was also attended by Syed Fakhar Ahmed, Head of Corporate Affairs, Nestlé Pakistan and Ms. Kanwal Bokharey, National Program Officer, SDC Pakistan, among others. According to the accord, SDC will extend support to Nestlé Pakistan for the development of farmers in the Dairy sector.
These farmers will be provided training in different Livestock and Dairy Farming techniques at the Nestlé Sarsabz farms which will greatly help in Rural Poverty Reduction through capacity enhancement and small entrepreneur development in Livestock & Dairy Farming.
