Nestlé Pakistan posts positive results for 2015 Q2 and H1

Nestlé Pakistan boosted its overall earnings by an incredible _33.7_% for the six months ended on June 30, 2015.

After an impressive display of a strong financial performance in the last quarter of 2014, Nestlé Pakistan, the Pakistani subsidiary of the world’s largest food and consumer goods, has again posted encouraging results for the Second quarter and first Half of 2015. 

Despite prevalent socio-political situation of the country Nestle Pakistan has witnessed an overall increase in its total revenue by almost Rs. _2.9 billion.

Additionally, its earnings per share have increased from Rs.  102.29 per share in 2014 during the same period to Rs. _136.83 per share in 2015. In the area of Sales, Nestle Pakistan revenue stood at Rs. __53.2 billion_____, __5.75 % higher compared to the same period last year. Export sales during the same period stood at Rs. _3.2 billion.

The gross profit margin increased by _558_bps compared to last year mainly due to extended cool weather positively impacting milk flush and relatively stable fresh milk prices. Further, the prices of dairy related commodities in international market combined with strong Pak Rupee have positively impacted in input cost.

The Nestle Pakistan operating profit reached Rs. __9.9 billion_ translating into _28.6 % growth vs same period last year. 

Based on these figures for the beginning of 2015, the company shares the positive outlook with Pakistan’s national economy due to sustainable growth and demand for its products.
