Ali Akbar

Ali Akbar is the Head of Supply Chain at Nestlé Pakistan since August 2017. Ali joined Nestlé as Management Trainee in 2004, after which he worked in Distribution Centre Operations and Supply Chain Analytics. Since then Ali has continued to take over key roles in the Supply Chain Leadership Team. In 2006, he served as Customer Services Manager and in 2010 as Group Demand & Supply Planning Manager. Soon after, he assumed the role of Group Physical Logistics Manager till 2012. Leveraging Ali’s enriched Supply Chain experience, he was appointed as Logistics & CS Manager - ZAOA based in Bangkok.

He took over the role of Head of Procurement after returning to Pakistan in 2015 and, under his capable leadership, the Procurement function experienced a complete turnaround with great focus on people development, result delivery and value addition

Ali is an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and a Mechanical Engineer from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology.
