With the gradual return of stability to Afghanistan, the country's markets have produced dramatic results for Nestlé Pakistan’s business operations.

Though MILKPAK had exported to Afghanistan before, the post-2002 reconstruction period offered new opportunities.

Accordingly, Afghanistan has been declared a fourth sales zone of Nestlé Pakistan, and, in 2005, we established a liaison office to monitor market activities and ensure prompt and effective responses to market needs.

Our distribution network in Afghanistan is largely based on wholesale market channels. We are gradually expanding our network beyond the boundaries of major cities and recently expanded our operations to Herat and Mazar-e-Sharif.

We export almost all our product range, taking the country's special needs into account. Keeping in view the market structure and the country's social and cultural values, we recently started introducing products that are tailor-made to Afghani needs and tastes.

Entering a market means investing not only in the business, but also in the society and people of that country. Nestlé Pakistan is focusing on consumer awareness, restructuring the distribution network, and developing people to be integrated in Nestlé business operations.

We wish to provide quality food products to Afghanistan’s consumers, and thus directly impact the living standard of the people. We are committed to helping Afghanis take a leading role in operations in their country.

We are confident that, with our leading role in the market, we shall be able to achieve our long and short-term objectives with commitment and dedication.
