Waqar Ahmad is Head of Corporate Affairs at Nestlé Pakistan. He is responsible for developing direct linkages and ensuring institutional networking for public policy and business advocacy with government, media, private sector and international institutions. Prior to joining Nestlé, Waqar has worked as Private Sector Specialist with the World Bank. He has also worked as a Summer Fellow with the International Monetary Fund, CEO of The Network for Consumer Protection, and Director, SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (an apex business organization of SAARC).
He has a proven leadership and professional experience in areas of project management, policy advocacy and action oriented research. Over the years, Waqar’s professional interest remained focus on policy advocacy, managing public affairs and engaging with government agencies and multilateral institutions. Waqar is a graduate of Columbia University, New York with a Master’s degree in Public Administration 2010, and also won the prestigious Chevening Fellowship 2008, Responsible Business, the University of Nottingham, UK.
